Make A Claim

The Brit Insurance Motor Claims Helpline (0800 328 9076) is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year - there to help you when you need us most. Please have your policy details to hand when you contact us.

What happens next?
When you call our Motor Claims Helpline we will provide you with all the information you may need to help us deal with any claim.

We will agree a plan and keep you informed of progress.
Subject to you having the appropriate level of cover the following services will be available:

  • If your vehicle requires recovery it will be stored at a safe location. If your vehicle can still be driven we will instruct one of our nationwide approved repair specialists to contact you during working hours to arrange collection of your vehicle.
  • The repairer will provide you with a courtesy car (subject to availability) for use whilst repairs are carried out. This service is exclusive to car repairs and does not include commercial, public or private hire vehicles. An excess mileage charge may apply which will be advised when the courtesy car is supplied. This charge will be payable by you.
  • ALL correspondence received from any party involved in the accident, any police summons or hospital communication should be forwarded, unanswered to us immediately.
